Review: Virtual Villagers “The Secret City”
June 2nd, 2008
The last chapter in Virtual Villager trilogy, called “The Secret City” will see our proud villagers starting in the ruins of a once-great city, exploring, rebuilding and repopulating while unraveling its numerous mysteries.
The game mechanics, for those familiar with the previous titles, remains unchanged: it is a sort of persistent world, so when you turn off the computer and log back in, you’ll have the feeling that time has really passed. Villagers reproduce, eat, and die
Talking about differences instead: the weather effects are really nice now, with clouds, rain, sunbeam, fog, and such. There are also two new Factions, Nature and Magic : the former restores food more quickly and raises longevity, while the latter greatly improves scientific productivity and population cap.
Overall, a very good game, and probably the best one of the whole serie. A must have for all Virtual Villagers fan!
