Review: Kivi’s Underworld

h1 Tuesday, December 30th, 2008

download Kivi's Underworld! If you enjoyed Diablo and Fate, you can’t miss this one. From the creators of Depths of Perils, already reviewed on my blog, comes a more “casual” hack’n'slash RPG. It features several classes, each one with its own gameplay style: bash your enemies as a mighty warrior, cast burning fire spells as powerful wizard or sneak in the darkness as scout… there are 20 unique characters to choose freom in the game, each one with its own skills.

The game is really designed as a casual RPG, since you can play short sessions of 15-30 minutes of play. Another nice feature of the game is the possibility to create your own dungeons with mod tools included in the fullversion.

In definitive, a solid action RPG title, with easy gameplay and good variety of monsters, items and classes to play.

Review: Archibald’s Adventures

h1 Friday, December 26th, 2008

Archibald’s Adventures is a true classic platform game, with various puzzles to solve to advance further in the game.

There are over 100 levels in the game to provide a long gameplay. The pixel graphic will bring nostalgic memories to the older players, while the new ones will find the intuitive controls and the general happy feeling of the game very entertaining.

The game brings some new ideas to the old platformer genre: transportation of objects, riding on walls and ceilings, flying with a jet armchair are just some of those new ideas that enrich the gameplay experience and make the game very fun to play.

In definitive, a must have if you like platform/action games with puzzles. If you prefer more reflexive games, probably you better look elsewhere.
