Review: The Lost Cases Of Sherlock Holmes

h1 Sunday, June 29th, 2008

Who doesn’t know about the most famous detective of the history? I’m talking about Sherlock Holmes of course! Based in London, Holmes is famous for his intellectual prowess, and is renowned for his skillful use of “deductive reasoning” while using abductive reasoning.

And this game will make use of all your brain for sure! first you’ll have to find the differences between 2 images to find clues. Then, you’ll have to find missing pieces in a classical Seek and Find game. Lastly, there will be a sort of memory game to eliminate all the potential suspect until you find the hidden truth!

The game features great art, fun cut-scenes and lots of “book” (each book is a case) that will surely keep you entertained for a long time. One of the best seek and find game I’ve played this year for sure!

Review: Dream Chronicles 2

h1 Tuesday, May 20th, 2008

The sequel to the popular Dream Chronicles, this seek and find game actually deliver something more than simply seek and find, but like the popular game Azada, it contains over 80 puzzles and indeed could be described better as a beautiful blend of puzzles, adventure, object finding and Myst-like environments.

Indeed, the environment (background art mostly) is very similar to the popular game Myst of some decades ago. The game action also is improved over the previous title, since now you have to move between different scenes to solve big puzzles, not like the first episode where each puzzle was a single scene.

So this second chapter has more depth, and lasts longer than the first one. If you liked the first chapter or other similar games like Azada, you’ll surely love this game.
