Review: Venture Arctic

h1 Friday, July 11th, 2008

Truly educational games are difficult to find, but games that are both educational and also fun to play are even more rare. Venture Arctic luckily is one of them: it is a sort of sandlot game, where you act like God and you can manipulate the environment as you wish, using 22 different creature types, each one with realistic behaviours.

You can also influence the climatic settings, using the power of the sun, the wind, the snow, and so on.

In definitive, a very original game, different from all the others tycoon games where you have to control humans. Here, you control animals and must manage the fragile ecosystems, learning new things as you play.

You can try for yourself what means to find the best properties on sale, the ones with better quality:price ratio, and buy them. Buy them to fix and resell a few months later at higher price to gain a good cut on profits, or simply to rent.

Real Estate Empire shows a nice art, and has a very complex simulation running in the background, a living world that has its own market regulations. But if you’re new to this games you don’t need to worry, since you’ll be introduced in the game slowly with easy tutorials and lots of in-game help, so that you can easily become a true Real Estate tycoon!

A nice game that will entertain you for several hours, an a perfect introduction to the people new to simulation games.
